Art print collections

I offer some of my paintings for sale as fine art prints.

I only sell 50 numbered copies per format. The paintings on sale in the store are therefore not intended to remain there for long, and I regularly put new series back on sale, according to my inspiration.

Originals can be purchased directly from me, but are not available for sale in the online store. If you are interested in an original, please write to me via the Contact page.

At the moment, two series of paintings are available for sale : a series on the arts and the five senses, the significance of which you can discover in this article on my blog ; and a series on the buildings constructed by architects Georges Maillols and Louis Arretche in the Bourg L’Evêque district of Rennes. For more context, I refer you to the corresponding article (Maillols in Bourg l’Évêque).

These are high-end, museum-quality reproductions. To do this, I digitize my paintings in very high definition. Then I have them printed by a specialized printer. What’s different from standard printing is the printing technique, the quality of the inks and the paper.

Giclée printing uses high-precision, high-resolution inkjet printers. The result is a highly faithful reproduction of the work, as close as possible to the colors and texture of the original painting. If you look closely at the photos, you’ll see that you can even make out the weft of the canvas on which I painted the originals.

The color gamut is also wider, with more ink cartridges and several levels of black. This enables highly nuanced prints with color accuracy incomparable to standard printing.

The pigment inks used for fine art prints are also extremely durable. Combined with museum-quality paper, this gives the print a lifespan far superior to any other type of printing. The print can remain exposed to light for decades without fading or yellowing. The shelf life is 70 to 80 years, which you won’t find if you buy more traditional prints, on the market for example.

For my part, I chose Hahnemüle 310g paper in particular for its lovely texture, which almost gives the impression that the prints are gouaches.

I work with an artisan printer specializing in the reproduction of works of art. It’s the workshop Frame, in Rennes. He takes care of the sales on his own website, print and prepare your orders. He is also the authors of these lovely photos. If you’re on site, you can pick up your prints directly from his store in Rennes.
