For me, the end of the year is synonymous with lights twinkling in the night.
Warm glows that say there are people there.
Sparkles that shine to say there is something wonderful here.
And…
On the Vilaine river,
A soft, subdued light floats,
Smooth globes as if suspended,
Airy reflections on small golden blades,
They turn without a sound,
Weightless above the water,
In the dim light, we can make out the mass,
The base,
Reassuringly solid,
The smooth concrete,
And the water gliding by.

Let me introduce you to the Belvédère sur la Vilaine.
A work of art that lights up the night in December in Rennes.
An urban reverie, perfect for this time of year,
When our lights can dress the night in poetry.

I wish you a very happy holiday season.
See you soon.
Lucile
